True Story

Story about little Dayris.

We may not be able to change a life completely…but with your help, we can touch it with love and care. Just like we were able to do for Dayris and her family.

When we met four-year-old Dayris, she had a feeding tube and a bag, and she’d already had numerous surgeries in her short life. Her mother, Ana, a single parent with four children had her hands full as, Dayris' brother is mentally handicapped.

With your donations, for her fifth birthday, we helped Dayris pick out her own backpack through our backpack program and adopted her family for Christmas. Santa not only brought dinner, wrapped gifts and filled stockings but renewed hope for a little girl who was not expected to live beyond the age of 2.
