Tools for School
Jane is a bright child with an aptitude for science. She wants to be part of the Science fair as her teacher is convinced that any of Jane’s inventions can win a place of recognition. Unfortunately Jane’s family has to choose between giving her the $50 to enroll or use the money for the weekly groceries.
These are the tough decisions many of our families are forced to make. Your donations to Charity Cars for Kids can change that. Proceeds from the sale of your vehicle or your donation of school supplies themselves, can open a window of opportunity for our children.
 Our Tools For School program provides new backpacks filled with new school supplies to local school-age children, as well as local schools, teachers and homework centers. With your generous support, we have also donated brand new computer systems to local schools, homework, after-school, and youth centers.
The children, their families and facilitators are very grateful for your support. The Education Partnerships Coordinator of the Santa Clara Unified School District wrote, “Thank you for your generous backpack donation. Many students at this school are considered economically disadvantaged and the backpacks and school supplies will be a critical step towards helping these students succeed in this school year.”
In 2007 Charity Cars for Kids distributed 1000 backpacks filled with school supplies that were delivered to needy children in the Bay Area. There are still many children that can benefit from our program. With the help of donors like you, we were able to meet our goal of 1500 filled backpacks for 2008. We met this 2008 goal in July. And so far this year, we have distributed 7 complete brand new computer systems to local Homework Centers. We continue to make strides with your support and our goal for 2010 is 2000 backpacks and 10 computer systems for the children to learn and grow.
